JSP (  Jam Session Program)

The Jam Session Program (JSP) is a 12-week curriculum which introduces trainees to the fundamental techniques, kitchen terminology, and knowledge of tools and equipment needed for an entry-level position in the foodservice industry.

 

During the program, trainees will have weekly classroom instruction as well as acquire kinesthetic learning through hands-on kitchen practice, group labs and demonstrations.

 

The classroom instruction will also cover the Servsafe© Food Protection Manager certification course with the goal of each trainee successfully passing the exam (books and test sheets/online test vouchers are included in the program).

 

In addition to the Servsafe© certification, trainees will also have the option to obtain a Maryland State Food Handler’s License.
